Live Class: Health and Nutrition

Description

In Apologia’s Live Class, Health and Nutrition, students will participate in a whole health course covering important aspects of physical, social, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. The course is designed to help students understand that their health is ultimately about stewardship and allow them to learn how to make the best choices they can.

Jill Witt

M.S. in Education

Jill Witt was born and raised in Iowa and her family of five children continues to live on a farm in Iowa. She marvels each spring as God’s glory in the earth is displayed when her husband plants their fields of corn and soybeans and with faith, they emerge and grow into a bountiful harvest. Jill is a daughter of the King, a lifelong learner, a passionate teacher, and a health nut.

Course Specifics

This course does discuss the topic of reproduction in the last module, but it is treated with respect and propriety, providing information through a medical and biblical lens. As this is a sensitive topic, Mrs. Witt will only discuss certain core elements in class, and she will provide the material to parents and students before discussing the module. In addition, students will have the option to opt out of the module without penalty. We understand that some students may not be ready to consider or discuss these topics with anyone other than their parents, and we believe parents are the decision-makers on this matter and everything else related to their children.

Recorded Classes

All classes for health and nutrition are video recorded and available for students to watch later so they don’t miss any instruction.

International Students
