Description

In Exploring Creation with Zoology 3: Land Animals of the Sixth Day, 2nd Edition, elementary students are invited to strap on their safari hats and go on a journey to discover God’s glorious design of land animals. Students will learn about different behaviors, eating habits and even different physical characteristics. Young explorers will also have fun conducting interactive hands-on activities from the textbook and Notebooking Journal (sold separately). They will even create their very own zoo, adding in animals as they learn about them.

Curriculum Overview

The adventure begins with an introduction to animals that were created on the sixth day. Students will then learn more about the field of zoology, including the different careers available to those interested in working with animals. They’ll continue their adventures by learning all about God’s amazing land animals, including bears, felines, canines, snakes, and more. They’ll learn not only about the creatures’ historical, physical, and behavioral significance but also their important connections to humans and the environment.

Hands-On Activities

Students will use the skills learned in each lesson to complete activities that are expanded upon as they work through the course. Activities include creating a model zoo and adding animals as the students learn about them, going out in the great outdoors to find animal tracks, and conducting other at-home activities using common household items. These engaging, hands-on activities bring learning to life and create an atmosphere of fun!
